...they should be. Only approved and tested WW mortar in accordance with DIN 19573 should be used for every sewer renovation and the new construction of a wastewater structure. Basically, the problem is often that untested and unsuitable materials are used in new construction, which is why we find the damage that occurs in sewer renovation.
For example, we very often see in masonry sewers that although a sewer clinker was used that can withstand the demanding requirements in the wastewater sector, the joint has been damaged by corrosion or heavy mechanical loads and cannot withstand these.
All water details,...
...can be found in the technical data sheets for the respective ERGELIT mortars. In these data sheets, the water requirement is given both as a percentage and in liters. The values are given as a range, e.g. 10-13 %. This information allows you to vary the mixture within this range.
If you would like to receive the technical data sheet, please call us or send us an e-mail. Email: office@hermes-technologie.de, Tel: 0049 2304 971230

...all our coating mortars can be applied by wet spraying, with the KS-ASS system and by hand coating. However, it should be noted that each of our mortars behaves differently in the various application techniques.
We are happy to support you to ensure that processing runs smoothly.

...as almost all of our mortars have been specially developed for the waste water sector. They are designed for corrosion protection and watertightness and therefore react very quickly. This can be problematic in building construction, as the mortar dries out too quickly due to the removal of water caused by solar radiation and wind, which can lead to cracks.
However, there are exceptions: Our ERGELIT-KBF40 and ERGELIT-SBM. ERGELIT-KBF40 was specially developed for the renovation of open structures, such as basins in sewage treatment plants. ERGELIT-SBM is often used as a repair mortar in small quantities in building construction. Thanks to the large supporting grain, this mortar can withstand faster curing. Nevertheless, it should be cured after at least 7 days in order to minimize drying out of the mortar.

...that is possible. We have a team of application engineers with many years of experience in the field of sewer rehabilitation who will be happy to provide training on our products directly on your construction site.
We also offer face-to-face training in our Hermes Academy, where your staff can be trained in a very realistic environment. We also have a large rental fleet for various sewer rehabilitation methods.
If you are not yet familiar with certain procedures, our application team can train your staff accordingly to ensure the success of your project

...not all ERGELIT mortars may be accelerated. All mortars can be accelerated, with the exception of ERGELIT-KS2BL. ERGELIT-KS2BL must not be accelerated as its composition differs greatly from all other mortars. The addition of accelerators that are suitable for other ERGELIT mortars would cause negative reactions with ERGELIT-KS2BL.
However, all other ERGELIT mortars may be accelerated or retarded. However, it should be noted that the additions should not exceed 5-10 %, as otherwise the reaction of the mortar is accelerated too much, which can lead to cracking.
